Snoke English LLC is developing complete high school English courses to provide rigorous, flexible English education for homeschool students. Each level is a year-long English course taught online by Amber Snoke.
Classes meet once a week for 90 minutes and combine live instruction, discussion, reading, writing, grammar, assignments, and individualized instructor feedback.

Two Pathways
Snoke English LLC offers two two-year pathways designed to meet students at different stages of their English education.
English Foundations | Levels 1-2
English Foundations | Levels 1-2
English Foundations provides a strong foundation in grammar, composition, literature, and academic writing.
Level 1 · Recommended Grades 9–10
U.S. History-Based Writing Lessons · Fix It! Grammar: The Frog Prince · Four books
Level 2 · Recommended Grades 9–10
Classical Rhetoric through Structure and Style † · Fix It! Grammar: The Little Mermaid · Four books
Both levels combine structured writing instruction, grammar study, and literature, with one book selected by Amber Snoke for each quarter.

College Prep | Levels 3-4
College Prep | Levels 3-4
The College Prep pathway develops increasingly sophisticated academic writing, reading, critical thinking, and independent learning skills.
Level 3 · Recommended Grades 10–12
Four major academic essays · Increasing length and complexity · Four books
Level 3 is modeled in part on a college freshman composition course. Students work through multiple genres of academic writing, with grammar instruction integrated throughout the course. Each major essay builds on the skills developed in the previous assignment.
Level 4 · Recommended Grades 11–12
Advanced literature and writing seminar · Four student-selected books
Level 4 gives students greater independence as they pursue individual interests through their reading and writing. The class functions as a guided independent study, with shared instruction and discussion alongside individualized work. Grammar instruction is integrated into the revision process.
Flexible Placement
Flexible Placement
Grade levels are recommendations, not requirements. Placement is based on a student's previous English experience, current skills, and academic preparation.
Students may complete all four levels, complete Levels 1–2 as the English Foundations pathway, or enter the College Prep pathway at Level 3 if they have already completed the equivalent of English I and English II.
Parents and the instructor will work together to determine the appropriate placement for each student.

All Snoke English LLC courses are taught online in a live, interactive classroom. Each course meets once a week for 90 minutes.
Students participate in instruction and discussion during live classes and complete assignments between class meetings through Google Classroom. Weekly work receives detailed instructor feedback, allowing students to understand their strengths and continue developing as writers and readers.
Each section is limited to 8 students.

Because Snoke English LLC is designed to support the flexibility and individualized nature of homeschooling, assessment focuses on student growth, meaningful feedback, and mastery of skills rather than a traditional point-based grading system.
Students receive detailed feedback on their weekly work throughout the course, helping them understand what they are doing well and where they can continue to grow as readers and writers.
Families may choose how the course is documented for their homeschool records. Parents may determine the final transcript grade based on the student's work and instructor feedback, request a certificate of completion, or request a final course grade from Amber Snoke.
